The Phoenix Resort

The room was the perfect space for 2 couples, with a full kitchen and great living room space. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of space. The pool area was relaxing with a great view. The pool staff was great! The resort staff was amazing-accommodating, friendly and just great people!

Our first trip to the Phoenix was in 2012 and we have been returning regularly since. As Ambergris Caye has changed significantly over the years, the staff, service and friendliness of the Phoenix has remained consistent and the best of the best in our opinion. As others have mentioned the location is perfect for those who like everything you need within walking distance and if you need a golf cart to explore or a taxi for a dinner the Phoenix ‘guest services’ folks will make it happen within minutes. All of the units we have stayed in over the years are clean, well kept, problem free and safe. We generally book all activities, tours and Tropic Air flights directly thru the Phoenix and could not be happier about the efficiency and professionalism every time. The Red Ginger is fantastic with the pool menu and room service both being awesome and convenient. Highly recommend the Sol Spa for a massage when the wind drives you off the fishing flats or the water in general. We will absolutely return, many thanks to Mildred, Danny, Pam, Tatiana, Jorge and Candice.

I have been to the Phoenix several times and each time has been a wonderful experience. The hotel is centrally located- you really only need a golf cart to get out to Secret Beach and the Truck Stop. Pretty much everything else is walking distance. The rooms are huge- a 1 bedroom is triple the size of a normal hotel room. Each has a soaking bathtub with jets in the master bedroom, a full kitchen, and a washing machine and dryer. I come down to go diving (they are about 100 yards from Amigos Del Mar, who are amazing for diving if you need a recommendation for that). There is happy hour everyday by the pool, they coordinate yoga classes, there is chocolate tasting and s’mores night. The staff will take care of everything for you. They book your hopper flight from Belize city to the island, they handle your taxi to and from the airport, and they will book you a golf cart, spa appointments, dinner reservations, or any excursions you want to do. They will also call around town to find anything that you may have forgotten, and send someone to pick it up for you. Truly a wonderful experience every time.

The service and location are top notch. We can't wait to go back! The rooms are spacious and well maintained daily. The pool staff are so friendly and the restaurant food is delicious. Centrally located, it is easy to get to lots of shopping and activities nearby.

We stayed here for our last night and wish we would’ve stayed the entire vacation! The staff is so friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 3 bedroom and it felt like a home. It was so clean, had all the amenities you’d ever need and the location is perfect. Don’t pass this one up!

Where do I begin, The hospitality: This is what will keep me coming back to this hotel. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. They create a group chat between the guest and concierge which I thought was great, but I forgot to check regularly as I was totally checked out! The nightly turn down service after a long day was welcomed. The hotel: Centrally located, there is no place better. the water taxi is minutes away, the best restaurants are within walking distance, and the truck stop 15-minute golf cart ride. This place is well maintained, and the pool area was very clean. There is a lap pool and a larger waterfall pool. There are more than enough lounge chairs and a pool bar with daily happy hour! The restaurant severe the best of Belizean cuisine, the fry jack breakfast tacos and the conch fritters are a must try. The spa treatment was also very relaxing. The rooms The suites are beautifully maintained with local artwork on every wall. We had the 3 bed/3 bath with water views, and it was the perfect 5 day stay. It was airconditioned to a cool 70 degrees, there were too many perfectly fluffy pillows and the bed felt like home. The full-size kitchen is equipped with everything you need and there is a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is plenty of room for a large family. Absolutely returning without question! Sorry not sorry but no pictures, I was literally checked out with my phone off the whole time.

If you’re looking for a home away from home, and you’re considering the Phoenix, then you’ve found it! This was our second stay at the Phoenix, and won’t be our last. Staying there has so many benefits! It’s in the middle of town so you have access to everything right at your fingertips or footsteps right out the front gate. We love the walkability, but if you want a golf cart, they have ones for you to rent right there. We also love having the full kitchen for the meals when you just don’t feel like going out or even when you want to bring your leftovers back. The other amenities at the Phoenix are over the top! Look at the list of things on their website that they can help you with or they already have in the rooms! The entire staff is so helpful from Marisol, Danny, Pam, and Candice at the front desk to the guys at the bar, the security guards, maintenance and housekeepers! I could go on and on! Thank you Phoenix for the wonderful mother/daughter trip memories!

The physical space is gorgeous and is centrally located. BUT what makes this resort so wonderful is the service the staff provides. Awesome! They booked air travel for my two children from Belize City to San Pedro and emailed detailed instructions regarding how to get to the resort (ground transportation is provided by the resort). They noticed that I hadn't requested transportation and asked if I needed any. The two salt water pools are beautiful and the pool staff are extremely attentive. I would rate this resort 10 stars if I could!

We had the absolute best time at The Phoenix in Belize. We are a family of 5 and went with two other families for Spring Break. We loved the extra space in our condo and being able to spread out as a family. The resort is wonderful! It was easy to navigate and connect with the other families we went with too. What makes it most special, is the people. We loved Cindy in the kids club, Ricky and Rolly at the pool bar, the amazing and sweet ladies at the front desk, and all of the attentive staff at the The Red Ginger. The housekeepers were also amazing. Basically, the VERY BEST people at The Phoenix and the VERY BEST views and vibe, and the BEST location we have ever experienced on a beach vacation. We can’t wait to go back!
