New Otani Inn Sapporo

Sapporo|0.28km from Shizuru
This early summer when restrictions on movement were lifted, a mini trip to Sapporo, which was planned from last year, and Sapporo itself is the first time in about 30 years since the last time I visited on a business trip during my active career. It is about 40 minutes from New Chitose Airport by JR rapid train, about 7 〜 8 minutes walk from Sapporo Station, about 7 〜 8 minutes walk from the station, and it is said that it is a long-established hotel in several hotels in the city. The appearance is a history. I feel calm There was. New Otani Hotel has been deployed all over the country, and I was also indebted to the group Hotel Makuhari & Hakata 々 because of the work area at the time of active service. This was my first time using an inn in Sapporo, but from the past experience, I realized the high level of service level quality common to the national group based on the corporate philosophy of the New Otani Hotel Group. I think that the inn in Sapporo also has a similar calm atmosphere, customer service, and texture of the dishes are all at a satisfactory level. Although the building itself is old, I feel that the maintenance and cleaning in the building are well done. On the other hand, if you want to say that you are looking at rebuilding and redevelopment because you can expect an increase in customers due to the inbound and domestic economic recovery in the future due to the service life of the building and depreciation, but it can be steadily promoted. I expect. I think that the urgent issues will be the complete safety function of the elevator, the renewal of the air conditioner adjustment function, and the improvement of the Internet TV content memory capacity. Personally, I like the accommodation plan 2 meals in the past experience, and I used it this time, but I will try to maintain my health so that I can repeat it with the same plan in the future and aim for the next opportunity. Thank you very much for this time.

Jr Inn Sapporo-Eki Minami-Guchi

Sapporo|0.35km from Shizuru
The hotel location is excellent, just several minutes' walking distance from Sapporo Station, and best of all, you can use the underground pass and use the elevator at exit 23, and from there it is only around 200m to the hotel (or exit 22 if you do not mind walking the stairs, then it is only around 150m to the hotel). We stayed there in winter when it was snowing heavily outside, so we were very grateful for this. Less than 10 minutes' walk away are famous landmarks such as Sapporo Beer Factory, Sapporo TV Tower and Odori Park. The staff were all very patient, friendly and helpful. Room is quite standard sized for a Japanese hotel in the city, small but clean. I liked the fact that they have a wide range of pillows that you can freely choose from, and also that there are coin-operated washing machines and dryers available. Our rooms came with breakfast at the adjoining Yayoi restaurant. I am not sure whether it is standard for this hotel or whether it is because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but there was no buffet, and instead breakfast is available in only 4 fixed options (3 Japanese style and 1 Western style), which is the same every day. For example, no eggs, milk, cereal, etc. as what you might expect from a standard Western style breakfast, and the side dishes for the Japanese style options are also fixed so there is no variety. It is not a big problem for the average traveller just staying one or two nights, but having more variety would be nice for example when you are staying for more than a few days, or are a fussy eater. Children set meals are also available at very affordable prices.

Richmond Hotel Sapporo Odori
4.7/551 Reviews
odori park
As mentioned by many, the location is ideal, smack in the city center. Near Odori park, lots of restaurants around, shops and things to see. To make justice to the hotel, despite not having its own car park, now it's possible to add into the bill the parking service in a multi storey car park just opposite the street (some reviewer mentioned in 2017 that the hotel had no car park, but facts change along the time, so the truth is that now there is a parking facility, as close as possible, just need to cross the road). Now, being a good place and having a decent room (not spacey but it seldom happens in Japan), would make it an ideal place to choose, being even fairly priced, wouldn't it? Well, there's a but (as in the title of the review): one of the worst logistically organised bathrooms that I've ever found - and I've seen many in 27 years of travelling around Asia. There a not-so-tiny step to take from the aisle and the bathroom. As you try to enter, the WC occupies almost all the space till the wall. So either you try to jump over it (starting from a lower level, remember the step?) or I set one foot in the minimal space available and then you turn like a classical dancer to try to bring the rest of your body (other leg) inside and step in front of a weeny sink. Same ordeal to get out of the bathroom. Imagine doing this when you're still moist, after a shower. Maybe I was just unlucky with the room I was assigned to. But there should not be any architech who studies - and then decides that it's good enough to use it without being a breakdancer - such an unpractical configuration of bathroom. The other - minor - thing, is this (but it does not really bothers me much): having placed the ”make my room” magnetic sign to the door in the morning, i came back at night to find an odd black bag hanged to the outer handle. those were two clean towels. Nothing had been touched inside the room, bed undone as I left it, dirty, damp towels still in the tub. Well, an odd interpretation of what make my room means... Other than those two things, a good place to be. I was there for 3 nights and I paid the same amount (for the whole stay) of one night in Tokyo (ok, it's Roppongi and I know it's as dear as hell!). But if you get there, make sure to see the bathroom configuration, before checking into a room!
Hotel Pearl City Sapporo

This hotel is especially cheap, probably because it is next to a building under construction, working eight hours a day, with the windows of the room next to the scaffolding. Sleep at night and leave for the train in the morning, so it is not affected. The room is quite large. If it is not built, it is worth living. Just next to Crab's famous crab restaurant, walk to Sapporo Station, Odori Park, and Susukino Store.

I am full of expectations for Datonvia, but I am not very satisfied. The hotel's location is on Tanuki Xiao Road, but it's quite a distance from the station. It's a long walk. Self-service check-in and self-checkout in the hotel. Very novel. very clean The hotel's self-service luggage storage is very interesting and practical. There were no books, no water, nothing in the hotel lobby. The hotel is very new, so the room has a slight smell. Continuous ventilation is required. But still feeling suffocated. The room is too small and the air conditioner turns on and off. The TV in the hotel room is very close to the bed. Watching TV is too frustrating. The hotel's large public bath is great. It's open until 25:00 and is also open from 6 to 9 in the morning. The large public bath has two bathing pools, inside and outside. The outdoor one is the skin-beautifying foaming pool. Very good, like it very much. Generally speaking, it is not good for the room to smell a little bit suffocating. Others are pretty good.

It is very close to the JR train station, a 10-minute walk, the name of the hotel is written in Chinese called 时计台 HOTEL, the door face is very small, the restaurant is directly opposite the hotel, see the picture, out of the hotel, turn right and walk 50 steps to the intersection, the building on the left enters the small door, The pedestrian street is on the next floor of the elevator. The location is good and the service is good.
KOKO HOTEL Sapporo Ekimae
4.3/5419 Reviews
Koko hotel is clean and conveniently situated near the clock tower and entrances to the underground walkway. There are plenty of food choices around. There’s an izakaya that opens till late everyday and a few convenience stores located just a block away. Would recommend staying here and would stay here again if/when I’m in Sapporo again.
Sapporo Grand Hotel
4.6/5230 Reviews
It is located in the centre of Sapporo City. 10 minutes walk North you will find JR Sapporo Station and 10 minutes South you will find the busy commercial district of Susukino. If you are travel from the airport, the airport Liner bus stop is right in front of the hotel but the journey will take more than 90 minutes as there are quite a few stops before arriving at the hotel. Room is clean and tidy. Be sure to book the breakfast if available. It costs 3300Yen if pay separately at the hotel but the breakfast at the Northern Terrace is one of the best buffet breakfast I have ever tasted.
