Manxin Hotel Shanghai North Bund

The North Bund Area
Yes, I booked a hotel in the North Bund by accident! Not bad for traveling with kids! It's very close to the Bund, but I just don't have the energy to go see the night view~ Environment: There is construction outside the hotel🚧, and the surrounding environment is not good! But the interior of the hotel is still very clean and tidy! good! Service: The service attitude of the guy at the front desk is great👍🏻very patient❤️. When I checked out, I found that I had forgotten to collect the shower gel and facial cleanser. I even called to ask if I still needed them and could help mail them!

The hotel is in a great location its easy to travel to most popular places in the city. We biked most of our trip and arrived within 15 mins. The staff were nice and the breakfast selection was large. The hotel room is filled with carpet and had a bit of a wet smell(like it did not dry properly) on the first night the next day it was gone oddly enough. there is a pool and gym available which is a nice touch. I would say it’s pretty great for the price.

Baolong Hotel

Wujiaochang Commercial Area
An old hotel. Although the facilities are old. But it can be seen that the original hardware configuration is still very good. I prefer their lobby. The room is also very big. Separated bathtub and shower. There is also a water purifier. I have stayed with my family many times before. The recent house prices are also very cost-effective. What's rare for you is that most of the front desk staff are from Shanghai. Very friendly and welcoming. Especially Mr. Zhang at the front desk. Thank you. come back next time.

Shanghai's skyline, punctuated by the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower and the towering Shanghai Tower, paints a vivid picture of the city's impressive blend of traditional charm and modern flair.

Journeying to Shanghai

Shanghai's main international airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, offers numerous connections globally. Once there, you can reach downtown Shanghai using the Shanghai Maglev Train, buses, or taxis. For domestic travelers, high-speed trains offer an efficient means of travel.

The main mode of payment in China is usually through AliPay or WeChat Pay. Most places still accept credit and debit cards, but it's wise to carry some local currency (RMB) for smaller vendors. Mandarin is the official language, with Shanghainese also widely spoken. A translation app may come in handy when interacting with locals.

Attractions That Shine in Shanghai

Shanghai is brimming with must-see sights. Walk along the Bund to see colonial-era buildings against the backdrop of a modern skyline. Visit the tranquil Yuyuan Garden, an exquisite example of Ming Dynasty design. The Shanghai Museum hosts an extensive collection of Chinese historical artifacts, and the Shanghai Disney Resort promises fun for the entire family.

Shanghai's Seasons and Apparel

Shanghai has a humid subtropical climate. Summers (June-August) are hot and humid, while winters (December-February) can be quite cold. The best times to visit are autumn (September-November) and spring (March-May), when the weather is moderate. Pack a mix of lightweight and warm clothing to adjust to fluctuating temperatures in Shanghai.
