The Eton Hotel Shanghai

I am still staying in this hotel right now with my family 5 rooms for a total of 7 nights. The price and the location are ok, but the service and the room conditions are so bad. The airconditioner in our room was not working properly. They sent somebody from housekeeping to check, and she told us initially that that is really how it is and just open the window. We insisted they check and the technician determined that it wasnt blowing properly. They asked me to wait while they sorted it out. We were waiting until night time and they only told us we need to change rooms and sent the key when we asked again. They didn’t send anyone to help us with our luggage. And the housekeeping manager even ******************* ask us 5 minutes later why we were still in the room. I told her, i dont know, maybe because we have kids and staying for another 5 nights so we still have so many things we need to pack and move. She came back another 5 mins later to complain to hurry up because they still need to get the room ready for another guest. ???? So they were willing to give the room with a malfunctioning airconditioner to another guest. . Oh, The concierge at night is also **********. We arrived hungry and tired from a very long flight. My mother asked for recommendations on nearby eateries and he answered so rudely: “how am i supposed to know what you want to eat. Go find on the internet”. Why does this guy even have the job? Did anybody tell him what a concierge’s job is? The room facilities are very old. Carpets dusty and torn. Pillows flat I could have overlooked about the room condition if the service was friendly. Train your staff!!!!

Had a lovely stay. My room was clean and had a beautiful view: The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Can’t wait to return again.

The room is clean and spacious, and we have a stellar view of the city from our room. Bed is comfortable, a big desk, and a tub that also has a nice view. It is very near the metro station. We will definitely consider booking here when we visit Shanghai again in the future.

This is a fabulous hotel. My room was spectacular on every level starting with it being located on the 28th floor. Wonderful view over the area of Poudong. Bathtub and separate shower room. Comfy slippers and dressing gown. Huge and comfortable bed and wide screen tv to spend jetlagged hours gawking at. Fridge to keep your drinks and food cold. Room service. Booked my taxi to my ongoing location for me. Well, it's a 5 star hotel so there's nothing to complain about. Hope to visit it again.

Very comfortable hotel which is located at the city centre of shanghai! I was able to see shanghai tower & the lujiazui area from our room :) There is 1/2 convenience shop downstairs and we can also order online shopping/ food delivery to the hotel (collected downstairs)

The Eton Shanghai is most convenient and luxury hotel in the heart of Shanghai business hub Lujuazui. The view is mesmerizing, although the staff and everyone is so cooperative. Right on the bottom of hotel, everything is available like food amenities shopping grocery coffee shops etc. good location, right outside the line 14-4 metro. Overall quite good. Room are so clean and supercool

Reasonably priced. Rooms are quite aged. Door key was faulty. But otherwise alright for a short stay in Shanghai.

Love the staff! The hotel has everything you need, and an amazing view! The hotel is a bit old maybe, but it is very clean, very calm and the bed is comfortable. I slept very well :) I had an excellent stay

Overall good experience, next to train station make the traveling easy access.
