My over all experience at the Sunrise On The Bund Hotel was good. Hotel management made sure they provided me with English speaking representatives to check in and to answer any questions. concierge was very helpful since I was not traveling about Shanghai with a tour guide concierge requested taxis for me when I was going out and they always wrote the addresses of the different places I was going in Chinese to give to cab drivers as I traveled throughout Shanghai. this made communicating with taxi drivers much easier. They also made sure I had the Hotels address written down on paper in Chinese as well. the breakfast was fresh and staff was friendly. I definitely would stay again.

Lovely hotel in a pretty good location. Loved the cloud bar! Staff seemed very confused about the “gifts” included in the hotel booking, and opening times of the bar for new years but Mr Lee was very helpful. The rooms are decent. A little dirty marks on the wall. Could definitely offer better services such as changing bedding pillows or room service. Not worth the money we paid.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel more. We’ve done quite a few staycations in Shanghai over the years, and this is bar far on the top of the list. Nice rooms, lovely facilities, cool vibe and great breakfast. Most impressively, the staff are super attentive and service-minded. It was my wife’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion. The staff went out of their way to make her feel special, especially the Director (Amy), who was fantastic. This mindset also echoed through many other staff, including the Assistant Director, and also their colleague from Belgium. They all ensured it was a weekend that we’ll never forgot. Absolutely 10/10!

The facilities are outdated, the walls are cracked and dirty, and the bathroom environment is not very good. Sound insulation is good because the corridor where I live is at the forefront. The conditions are average, because it is close to the school and makes do for one night, considering the average price in Shanghai, this price is still normal. Full score evaluation to the service, although there is no elevator, but still help carry the luggage, thank you.

This detail is perfect ~ it saved a business trip worker who was a light sleeper! During this period, I also used the garment steamer on the first floor, which was pretty good~ One detail, there is no socket for a hairdryer in the bathroom, or is the socket in my room a bug? It just can't be inserted firmly. . . .
