Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel

Changfeng Park Area Shanghai|1.95km from Yichuan Park
The hotel facilities and environment are okay, and the breakfast is average. The waiter's service is also very good, meticulous, and the English service level is quite high. The reason for giving the service a low score is that the hotel is not convincing in handling customer queries. I booked an executive room for my family, and the booking page also specified floors 17-21. But the actual arrangement is on the 15th floor, and the hotel said that the floors above the 15th floor are all administrative floors. Then if it is arranged for my family to live on the 5th floor, can you explain that the 5th floor and above are all administrative floors? Executive rooms are a bit more expensive than deluxe rooms. The 4th to 16th floors are deluxe rooms. I booked an executive room because I wanted to live better, instead of spending the money of an executive room to live in a deluxe room. Through communication with the hotel through Ctrip, the hotel said that there was no good location on the 17th floor, and there was a good location on the 15th floor, but my family said that the room was facing the construction site, which was not a good location. If there is no suitable place on the 17th floor, a higher floor can be arranged. Because I have already left Shanghai, I have no chance to check whether there is any difference between the rooms on the 15th floor and the 17th floor and above, but since I made a promise, I must do it according to the promise. This kind of self-talking explanation is inevitable.

Pullman Shanghai Jing An

Train Station Area Shanghai|2.16km from Yichuan Park
Great location walking distance from Shanghai railway station. Got there a few hours early but hotel allowed us to leave luggage there whilst we went for lunch. Lovely hotel, staff, breakfast etc.. Only downside is that the pool is 6th floor in next building so you have to come down, go past reception and lobby and take lift to the 6th floor there. The small jacuzzi was not available when we wanted to use it as it was safer with our 3 year old so had to go into the main pool but we felt like we were getting in the way as others were using it to do their length swimming. Also, to get to the pool you have to climb up some stairs and at the bottom what looks like a rubber grip flooring was full of cold water but it was clear so when i stepped into it with cloth sandals that the hotel gave us in the room, they got soaking wet and the water was freezing cold. There should be a sign there to say there is a pool of water (see picture attached) Other downside in the room is that the lighting system is very confusing - we had an executive suite and wanted to put our infant to sleep in the main room whilst we relaxed in the living room but if you wanted the lighting on in the living area you had to go to the bedroom to turn it on and the lights next to the front door were also confusing as there was no option to turn on the lights in the lounge area and if there was, it wasn’t stated hence why we say it was all very confusing.
