Country Garden Phoenix Hotel Shaoguan (Shaoguan Centennial East Street)

Looks more like a resort than hotel. Hotel lobby was very grand but facilities are worn down. There is a gym and karaoke room but the karaoke looks more like night club, swimming pool looks old too and it’s closed. Room size ok, necessities are all equipped but lack of power points for charging and no international sockets. Shower surprisingly very comfy good water pressure with enclosed shower and bath tub, and I am very happy to see the washlet toilet. Room comes with a balcony with table and chairs and the view is nice. Free coffee and tea at the lobby. Buffet breakfast variety more local and food are all quite oily, very tasty though. There is a male staff at the reception which I would like to compliment, he helped us book DiDi during our stay throughout using his own account as we have issue with our WeChat. Excellent service! Took DiDi to nearby bainian dong jie for night market and food, must go place if you visit Shaoguan, try the mu mian ting chuan shao, very nice.

Environmental sanitation is OK, that is, the overall brightness of the room lamp is not enough, the toilet door is not locked, the door of the room I live in cannot be opened through the door handle (I don’t know if all rooms are like this), but this also improves security, the bedside table in the room has abnormal noise, TV - there is a table and the remote control is not working

The rooms are air-conditioned! Room supplies and hygiene are very clean and there is no smell. This time I chose a big bed room with a window, which is indeed a lot brighter and can be ventilated. And if you need to wash clothes and dry clothes, it is best to choose a room with a window. Half of the bathroom is frosted floor-to-ceiling glass. The sound insulation effect is average, but fortunately, I didn't encounter the kind of unqualified people who would be noisy. Both stays slept well. Comfort is good! Dozens of yuan have such an environment is already very good! For the exam, temporary accommodation, travel for a few days can be assured to book. Cost-effective!
City Comfort Inn (Shaoguan East Railway Station Yuetong Building)

This is the hotel closest to the train station that I have ever stayed in, almost right at the door. It is very close to the city center of Shaoguan, and you can reach Yanjiang Food Street (century old street) within half an hour on foot. Not only that, the hotel is clean and refreshing, and the price is not expensive, which is very good!

Hotel location is very good, two stops from Shaoguan East Station, 500 meters to Fengcai Building and Centennial East Street, but not in a particularly noisy area, so it is very quiet at night. The places to eat around are not far away, and there are many small shops in the alley. The space of the room is quite large, very clean, and the facilities are OK, especially the bed is soft and hard, and the sleep is more practical. There's a script on the second floor, which looks pretty diverse. In short, in this location, the price is very good.
