Clarion Collection Hotel Majoren

Lite bökigt att inte hissen gick 4 våningen, lite mörkt och instängt med endast tack fönster som inte går att öppna. Men rymligt och sköna sängar

First time in Skövde on business with one over night. Felt welcome when checking, offered a cup of coffee while waiting for my room to be ready. The staff were super friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Pleasant environment to continue business and good breakfast. If you're vegetarian you have plenty to choose from. Looking forward to staying there next time in Skövde.

We stayed for 10 nights in August. Staff was wonderful-at the front desk and housekeeping. I'd like to mention Elins at the front desk and the other people who manned the front desk. Also, Silvia, 1 of the housekeepers; she was so helpful and nice. When we checked out, I left a package for my daughter and told Elins that she would pick it up sometime in the next week but I wasn't sure when. The package was there when my daughter showed up 6 days later. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Fresh bread for both and nice selection of choices to eat. When we heard there was only 1 entree selection per night, we wondered what the entree would be and if it would work for us. 2/10 nights we weren't keen on the entree but every night there was also a selection of multiple salads and a soup. Overall, we were satisfied and having dinner at the hotel was convenient and worked. The hotel has character and is kinda like a boutique hotel. There are 2 buildings-main bldg and another across the street. We liked staying in the main bldg. Our room was spacious (superior rm) and comfortable; we asked for lighter blanket covers (during the winter the heavier quilt probably works). The hotel is extremely convenient to the central square and main area of Skovde, the train/bus station, bus stops on the street, and University of Skovde (a 5 minute walk).Only slight negative, the rooms face street and ours faced train station so somewhat noisy at night. But, not hotel's fault. We enjoyed our stay.

Very good choice for accommodation in Skövde. The price incuded also dinner which was very nice after 167 km bicycle ride.

The room was very clean and overall modern and just gives you a pleasant vibe. We slept in room 61. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was extremely good. Fresh Fruits, Salad, buns, Croissants, Joghurt with several toppings like nuts or dried fruits and warm options like pancakes, beans, sausages (chicken) and scrambled eggs. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Charming little hotel with less than 100 rooms. This means it is not too crowded at meal times. Evening meal and breakfast was up to standard and the receptionist did a good job to juggle the restaurant and reception at the same time and with a smile. Room was charming too but it may need to be time for some light love and care, a light bulb was missing in the hallway light for example. However, seen to value for money they deserve a high mark!

The main issue are the beds- we chose a double bed but a double bed in this hotel means two tiny cheap single beds put together. Really disappointing- we didn't get barely any sleep at all as it wasn't comfy. Breakfast finish at 9am which is super early. The receptionist were kind though and helped us change the room as we could hear our loud neighbours making it impossible to sleep. That was appreciated. But would not stay here again.

Our stay included a dinner and breakfast buffet which were delicious. The lobby was also a comfortable place to relax and have a coffee. Room was very clean and comfortable.
