Was a pretty good hotel. Good location only issue would be the noise pollution. But apart from that good hotel if you want to stay in the centre of Stavanger

Had to get the call center to change my reservation. When I arrived at the hotel the reception was closed. I tried to call the hotel earlier the same day and the day before but no answer and tried again upon arrival, still no answer. Had to call the US office. They said that my reservation was cancelled, and the hotel was full so they could not help me and not explain why I got no mail about the cancellation. Walked out of the hotel and booked another hotel different brand. No problems there. Later the same evening I get a call from the hotel, they reacted to my missed call. The receptionist could not explain why my reservation was cancelled and said the they where not fully booked. He said that maybe the other receptionist cancelled my reservation. He wanted to find out about it but could not explain. They said they where changing brand soon, leaving Best Western. Will not use them in the future. Just an extra stress. Hard to get in contact with. Irritated because of the cancellation with no explanation, information or E-mail.

Never again this unfriendly and run-down hotel. Talk about overpriced! Already upon arrival and check-in, we were met by a grumpy and unhelpful receptionist. She claimed that I had not registered the name of my colleague who was to stay in the other room. And were arguing about it. I have a written booking confirmation from Best Western received by e-mail, which confirms that I had registered my name in room 1 and my colleague in room 2. Bad style and start! Terrible cleaning, stained and dirty on the bed and mattress sides and carpets in room 115. Dirty and stained/missing wallpaper and mold in the shower in room 103. I have already mentioned the breakfast. Disastrous! It is unacceptable that you do not receive a receipt when you pay for our hotel stay. It is actually not okay or legal in Norway. If you want a receipt, you have to send an email to the hotel and specify your name and hotel room??? I did, but did not receive a receipt. Then called reception and she lied about a receipt being sent by e-mail. Was then sent a blurry screenshot of the receipt via sms?? Never again this unfriendly hotel!

… and a more or less loyal member for more than 20 years globally. Guests in general are the most important thing receptions have to prioritise. This poor attention I have not experienced. In the morning before a two night stay, I wrote an email, that I would like to add another night. On arrival at 18:00 to locked door, entering with an access code, I found 2 gentlemen in the reception. No attention what so ever. I asked about my extended stay. “We will look into it “ No information about where to find my room, breakfast- anything. Nada. 24 hours later I received an email saying that I could get a even smaller room. However I already booked another Hotel. Filthy carpets in the hallway, very loud in general with slamming doors. You can hear guests toilet habits at night. Small dark room. Noise from streets and bars. Basic breakfast. Positive: small fridge. Location if you like the surroundings.

The noise from a local bar in the middle of the night won’t let you sleep. The staff in the front desk is never there. There’s no way to enter the property because I never received a text with a secret combination. Terrible place

no complaints. would stay again. highly recommended. pro: good location, close proximity to points of interest. spacious room, sufficient warm breakfast. excellent staff. luggage rack in room with good sized table and 2 lounge chairs. well ventilated room. excellent price from booking. com and got free upgrade from single room. lacked nothing con: furnishing a bit dated. bathroom on the small side. bed a bit too soft. some noise from the road outside window. only 1 small lift. but non of these bothered me, except the soft bed. mirrors well placed, arrived close to midnight but still seamless check in. staff spoke good English and always happy to help.

Sign says Best Western, but I would call this Old Western or maybe Wild West. First of all, this hotel is a fire hazard as it doesn't have a single grounded power outlet in the room. Not even the mini bar fridge (which didn't even work, even if it was powered) had a grounded power connection. All the power outlets were old, and some even with cracks in it. Also no power outlets near the nightstands on each side of the bed. I had to unplug one of the lamps to charge my phone on the nightstand. In the hallway, cables were laid up that ran from equipment cabinets into another room, with power cables squeezed between the door and the door frame. This is against security regulations for electrical installations in Norway. Also in the hallway an equipment cabinet unlocked with door wide open giving anyone physical access to both the fuse box for the entire floor and the data network switches and routers. Did I mention the mini bar fridge didn't work? The light was lit inside it but no cooling. Tried to turn it off and back on, adjusting cooling to max but it still did not work. My bathroom had no shower gel or shampoo. Instead there was hand soap in the shower. I don't need five different hair products to shower in the morning, but I sure won't be washing my hair in hand soap either. Breakfast was included, but what they served could not be considered a typical "hotel breakfast". The breakfast hall was tiny, with similar tiny selections. They had some small portions of scrambled eggs but NO BACON at all. On top of it all the reception is not open 24h, so after closing hours guest will need a PIN code to open the front door. Normally at hotels without a 24h reception, you open the front door with your key card or at least a PIN that is easy to remember (like 1234 or the year we're in). In this case the PIN code was a completely random code consisting of four digits, as if it was handed out to you by your bank when you get a new credit card. Two positive remarks: Comfortable bed and great location. Won't be staying here again.

Location is the biggest plus for this hotel. However, the hotel needs more staff. One person managing the whole breakfast, front desk etc at the same time leads to a low quality service and is also tough on the staff
