Hotels near Zhongxiao Dunhua Commercial Circle, Taipei

Although the hotel is far from the city, everything about the hotel itself is amazing. Book this place to get away from the craziness of downtown, but be sure to leave from here more than 4 hours to get to the airport if you're driving. It can be troublesome. I’ll return here again because I enjoy the ease and air of the room. It fits~ Both Double and King rooms are nice and the Internet is blazing fast in case you need to stream or hold online meetings.

Positives: - The team's service and attitude are consistently professional and courteous throughout my entire stay. Everyone was professional. No one came across rude, impatient, or defensive. They thanked me for choosing them and also took responsibility/ownership on things they did not do right the first time. - They took notes on things you said and requested with immediate response or within 24 hours if needed more time. - They practiced active listening, asked clarification questions to ensure what I needed/requested. - Excellent breakfast, full of variety. They kept standard items standard by providing them daily but also added some variety by changing 3-5 dishes. All foods are fresh and prepared on site. - Housekeeping service had great attitude and was efficient in cleaning throughout the entire stay. - They have an elevator. Most hotels in Taiwan have elevators. - They are happy to help moving your luggage upon request. - Excellent hot shower temperature and pressure - Amenities provided in the room is abundant with good quality - They are trustworthy in honoring pre-agreed upon check-in requirements. Before booking this hotel, I asked about the check-in requirements and what I felt comfortable providing and what not. They agreed and executed accordingly. I appreciate how their words and actions are consistent, which is very different from some hotels (Best Western always acted inconsistently, Marriott, Hilton, and IHG hotels are spotty, some are good, and some are bad) in the US and Canada where they said/agreed one things and acted differently when I arrived at the front desk for check-in. Hotel services in Taiwan are generally much better in terms of service attitude and honoring their words. - Effective expectation management and communication - When raising issues, they took it with positive attitude: they always first owned it by providing a sincere apology, tried to solve it immediately. If they couldn't solve it right away, they asked for more time and provided a timeframe on when it would be solved. Throughout my stay, 50% of issues were solved immediately, and 50% were solved within 12 to 24 hours. No issues remained unresolved. - Common areas are always very clean and organized. Negatives: - Not always have people at the front desk to help open the heavy doors. Better to change it to auto-sliding doors. - The elevator carpet is gross and dirty: time to change it. There was a hair hidden underneath the hand towel on first day - raised the issue and they fixed it the next morning. Should not have missed at first place. - There was a dirty blue cup with watermarks all

1.Location easy to find, just a door step next to mrt exit 2. (Zhongxiao Dunhua). 2.Room have very strong smoking smell, have to prepare for this smoking breath air for whole night and sleep in the room. Reason due to : Its an in-house sharing air-con system. Only adjustable at Low/Midium/High. 3.Cleanliness have to be improved. (carpet/fresh air) 4.Receptionist greeting the walk in customer in the middle of night can be heard from room. Hope there is a solution when welcoming customer hence we will have a good rest. 5.Free drink ,coffeee tea and biscuit in the room. Besides all includes Towel/Teeth Brush/Hair-dryer/Slipper 6.Price is reasonable. 7.family mart a lot nearby, morning breakfast eatery stroll a few around in the morning. Got 煎包/饭团/热咖啡

A good hotel that is well located in Taipei. The ben though the exterior is somewhat dated, the interior is adequate and well kept. Breakfast is pleasant and service attentive. The only word of caution is being given a room that is interior facing and can be somewhat dark in the day time; maybe uncomfortable for those who yearn for natural light.

The location of the hotel is super convenient, close to the MRT station 🚉 The hotel service is also very good. The front desk took the initiative to introduce us to places to eat nearby👍 Hotel facilities are good👍 The only drawback is that I can’t book a room with a window🪟⋯ All in all, most of them are good⋯ Will come again next time (choose a room with a window) 🤩

The hotel room was nice with all the necessities but I would recommend the hotel to invest in an air purifier for the room with no windows.. the air quality inside the room was not good at all and it release a musty smell. (I sneezed too much inside the room, i’m very sensitive with dust) But The location of the hotel is amazing with lots of restaurants nearby..and is very convenient!

Excellent service from staff, who are mostly friendly and polite. Location is unbeatable as just few steps from Zhongxiao Fuxing MTR and also can take CitiAirbus 1960 from Taoyuan Airport to hotel easily. However on return trip the bus stop is a little far away near Howard Hotel, wish they would re-open the nearby bus stop near hotel back to airport. So as our luggage was quite heavy with many food items including mangoes, so we decided to take a taxi back to airport but this can be arranged with hotel direct at a special price NT$1,100 (it’s actually a private car like Uber) as much cheaper than taking a taxi that cost NT$1200-1300+. Also next door is Amo Bakery which sells excellent cheesecake, honey cake and cookies, must buy as it’s so good which we bought some upon departure day as quite similar taste to what we bought from Hokkaido before. And nearby has many great eateries, surrounded by stores like Sogo, Watson’s, Carrefour, Cosmed and a huge Poya store to stock up on beauty related stuff, must visit:)

The hotel staff were friendly, nice and helpful. Cleaning lady replenished the towels and toothbrushes etc on a daily basis. The room is small, but had two toilets - one bathroom and one toilet. The bathroom is the most enjoyable one. It was huge and comfortable. The exterior of the hotel needs a major cleaning - one can view the dust and dirt from the interior. The bed was comfortable, but tv channels are quite limited. I would really want to compliment the staff. They were so friendly, and helped arrange a massage session for me with Mother’s Day promotion. Easy to chat with them on what’s nice to eat nearby too. The location is fantastic in terms of the eateries and shopping nearby. There is also a supermarket nearby too. I used foodpanda and it was so convenient as well. Mrt is not so near (about 12 mins walk?).

Only the location is great. The room had a strong musty smell, which was obvious as soon as you entered the door. Hot water will become very hot after being used for a while. The air conditioner is too cold, There is no heating at all, It can be very cold in winter in the middle of the night. In the morning, the sun is directly exposed to the window due to the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor. At seven or eight in the morning, I heard the sound of the windows expanding and contracting. Very annoying. Downstairs is the entertainment venue. There is music bombardment from midnight to morning, If you're afraid of noise, don't stay here. Couldn't sleep at all. Sound insulation is very poor, You can hear the phone ringing at the counter outside; Tenants can watch TV and hear it. Access to the entire building is complicated. There is no control, If you are afraid of noise, I really don’t recommend it. Wouldn't consider staying here again. But the waiter is very enthusiastic and does his job well. give
