Residence la Gancia

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful!! Location is very near the the sea. Strongly recommend to ppl who are visiting Trapani!!

It was delightful staying at Residence La Gancia. The rooms were fantastic. They were extremely comfortable and very quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. Customer service was excellent. You could not ask for a more central location. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location in Trapani, big parking was available only few hundred meters away, so we always found a spot. Breakfast was good served on the top floor terrace with nice view over the sea. There is a beach near the hotel, but we did not use it. The shower door leaked and made water of the floor. The hotel reception was very good, friendly, helped us with lots of information on the parking and tips about visiting Erice.

This was our last stop on a 13 night drive around the island and we could not have been happier. Because we were low season and the price was reasonable we booked the junior suite with sea view the on the 4th floor. It was amazing and had lovely windows and two patios! Breakfast is served on the 4th floor as well and it is lovely. The hotel is perfectly located. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We left our car for two nights in the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele Parking lot and it cost only 4.90e. Be sure to download and use the EasyPark app. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the hotel. We really enjoyed Trapani and highly recommend this hotel.

La Gancia is a hotel overlooking the water in Trapani. The TA reviews were very positive, but when I called to reserve they were full. They suggested the Gaura Apartments, which they operate next door. We booked 2 apartments, one being the penthouse. Both apartments had balconies overlooking the sea. The penthouse had an additional one with a dramatic view of the duomo. The apartments were very clean and large with a separate sleeping area apart from the living room. The doors to the balconies can be fully opened and the sea sits just below your window. The staff at La Gancia provide the same concierge services as the hotel. I have never been greeted by a more helpful and cheerful staff. A special call out to Claudia,Aurora, and Andria who helped us with anything we needed or had difficulty with. I want to add that I found the travel guidebooks I used did a disservice to the city of Trapani. The old city is charming ,and the port to the islands is very close to the hotel and apartments. Erice, accessed from a cable car ride on the edge of town was absolutely magical and one could easily spend a full day there. We had only booked 2 nights in Trapani and left sooner than we would have wished. Consider this location as a base to the towns on the west coast of Sicily.

We loved our stay! The hotel is perfectly located, within walking distance of all the beaches, sights, bars and restaurants and only a short walk from the ferry terminal. Our room was a lot bigger than we expected and very comfortable. The hotel and all of the staff were great. We loved the view from the rooftop and had cocktails there a couple of evenings. Breakfast was also served from the rooftop dining room, however we weren’t made aware that this was included in our booking until the 3rd night. The breakfast was good, with a large variety of sweet and savoury products. It’s best to arrive for breakfast early as a lot of items ran out quickly. The hotel has a well equipped gym however it was too warm to use it. Overall a great stay and we’d love to return!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large with kitchen and table that could seat four. Nice breakfast is offered on the top floor either inside or on the terrace. Close t everything and easy parking on the street or nearby lot.

Stayed 4 nights in a sea view room. Very clean and comfortable room, good water pressure, great breakfast on the rooftop. Excellent location in the heart of old Trapani, walking distance to everywhere, even the Erice funivia (45 min walk). Great service from staff, very welcoming. Would recommend without any hesitation.

Brilliant position. Great views. Authentic atmospheric old building with all the modern necessities.
