It was generally very clean. The shared bathroom was also clean and comfortable. I gave the facilities a 4 because I thought it had to be shared.
Maybe because there weren't many people there, it was very quiet and I was able to sleep well at night.
The receptionist seemed a little cold, but she answered my questions properly, so maybe I was expecting too much Japanese service.

Living on the third floor, the bedding was dirty. There are only 20 old rooms on the entire floor and only one shared bathroom. I wonder how the hotel owner considered the problem?

Well maintained, very comfortable older hotel. Simon at the front desk and the manager were both very helpful. Parking was provided at no extra cost.

No hot water for five straight days, and they have notified so late that we weren't get any other room

There was no way to adjust our room temperature. Not a single tv channel worked. The parking garage isn’t even attached to the actual hotel building, so you have to exit out of a separate building and walk outside to get to your hotel. The decor is very dated, and there’s no plugins for charging devices.

It was a very charming hotel, and the staff was very friendly. The parking was convenient. My only complaint is that there were no power outlets in the room to charge my phone. I would have had to get down on the floor and go behind the furniture to unplug the tv if I had urgently needed to plug in my phone.

The Kingston has a boutique feel to it. The rooms and beds are smaller reflecting the style of an old but quaint hotel.

Princess was amazing, so friendly helpful and pleasant. Loved the old building and old style hotel. Great to have a restaurant right next door and lots of great options nearby. The one thing that did not work great was that the twin beds in my parents' room were very very high and my elderly parents really struggled with them - getting in and out and - and they worried about falling out. Also there was only one chair in that room so hard for them to sit and hang out. Otherwise everyone was very happy.
