Reasonable hotel but a little dated, safe too small and hidden above fridge. Air conditioning a bit of an issue as it is controlled from the front desk so if it gets too hot you have to open a window to turn it off. Staff pleasant and food pretty good. OK if you want short break.

The hotel caters for coach tours and treats guests like school children. The staff are hostile giving the overall impression they don't want you there. The restaurant staff herd you about rudely and try to take your food away before you finish presumably to get you out of the restaurant and off their hands as soon as The rooms are sp**** bathrooms too small beds and bedding very basic air conditioning split units and they hide the remote controls so you cant set temperature or direction of the icey blast directly focused on your bed The bathroom shower was a joke - it was a plastic cubicle multi jets but inadequate pressure to make them work. The main shower was a hand fitting in a slidy type clamp which pointed the shower at an odd angle away from your head. Unpredictable useless temperature control This is at best two star hotel and ideal for parties of school children who have no idea what real four star hotels are like and want a cheap deal No complaints about quality of food but definitely mass catering and room cleaning staff do an excellent job everywhere spotless but that's it nothing else to recommend this grim uncomfortable excuse for a hotel Imagine Faulty Towers without the humour and you won't be far wrong

Just back from a visit as part of Riviera Tour of Puglia. This hotel was by far the worst one of the three. Food was simply awful, restaurant staff (seniors) were incredibly rude, arrogant and unhelpful. We were told rather sternly that we should use same table the following evening which was fine, as food choices need to be made the night before, but on entering follwing evening, they had changed their minds, for reasons they alone knew, and tried to split up our party of six to other random tables! Guests seem to be shouted at to sit down at specific tables, even at breakfast, in a room that held loads, hardly anyone there but you daren't move towards a table without someone ushering you elsewhere unnecessarily. Poor breafast choices, stale bread and cakes. Cold scrambled eggs and bacon. Horrid coffee. Evening meals were a joke, horrible overcooked veal, tasteless pasta dishes, one ate it. Nothing else offered, they just drew a look of displeasure and took plates away. The saving grace was buffet section. The female servers were lovely but were ruled by the overbearing restaurant manager. The comical thing was that they bring out the horrid food in large trays/dishes to display a bit of serving theatre that would be welcome if food was good, but it wasn't. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I’m just finishing a stay at this hotel with Riviera Travel. I can honestly say it’s been a lovely experience. The location is good. About a 10min walk into the pretty old town, with lots of bars and restaurants, or 15mins to the beach. The room was large enough for our needs, with a small balcony containing a table and a couple of chairs. The beds were comfy with great memory foam pillows and the air con was very quiet and efficient. All the staff have been very friendly and smiley, nothing seems to be too much trouble!. Food wise there was a large, varied antipasti buffet every night, then primi and secondi courses were ordered from the menu. The main reason I am posting this review though, is because of the help and care that was taken in ensuring my cream and gluten-free needs were met. The restaurant manager, Gianni, was extremely helpful and made sure I was fully aware of what I could and couldn’t eat. There were gf croissants, bread, cakes, desserts, pasta etc lactose free, almond, oat and soya milk. They even prepared a separate plate of food for me at the Riviera leaving drinks. It all made for a very pleasant, stress free stay.

This hotel was our third one on a tour of Puglia with Riviera Travel. I am a coeliac and have to follow a strict gluten free diet . The first and second hotels had produced a very limited and mediocre offering of gluten free products . However, this hotel went above and beyond with a good selection of gluten free products at breakfast and they even cooked me a fresh gluten free croissant each morning. In the evening I was shown around the starters buffet and advised on what I could eat. And I want to give a special shout out to Gionni Cozso the restaurant manager for his guidance and attention to detail . He even made me gluten free sandwiches for my journey back to the airport without being asked . The other hotels on the Riviera tour could learn from this hotel’s example.

We had nice stay. Hotel has kindly staff, excellent position. Clean rooms with excellent air condition, piano, outside place for evening time together. Food very good, we had only breakfast, and for dinner did go to city. At the plage was also nice. Small negative is old lifts In hotel, sometimes long waiting for. Good for health, often go by stairs. :-)

Stayed here for three nights as part of a large Riviera Tour group. Where to start? Dowdy rooms with a tiny shower cubicle (like stepping back in time to the 80's) A shambolic included dinner, with one extremely rude member of staff curtly telling people to sit down (which unfortunately they did, like chastised children) Set dishes were generally poor, but the buffet was good. Afterwards sat outside on the rear patio to be "entertained" by two people with a boom box, playing loud Euro pop trash to the amusement of just themselves. Breakfasts were ok. Hotel has a small pool which we were told had "recently re-opened" Even though it was 36C the pool was roped off for most of the day, until 1600 when a life guard turned up. By then most people had given up. Hotel does have it's own lido about 250 metres away. You get a pass, show it to the lifeguard, who then escorts you to allocated sunbeds. Even though all of the first two rows were empty, we had to use beds in the fourth row (the ones at the front seemed to be for Italians only) The lifeguard watched other couples setting themselves up on the front beds before approaching and telling them they would have to move . Petty. There is also a snack bar on their lido, which had two more unsmiling staff on hand. Go to the Mediterraneo next door, much, much nicer, with a friendly greeting and quality food. We skipped the included dinner second night at ate at Ristorante Pizzomunno which you pass on the way to the beach. I get the feeling that this hotel barely tolerates the British tour groups. By far the worst of the three hotels on this tour. Come on Riviera, you can do better than this!

The 5 floor Degli Aranci hotel is in a residential part of Vieste but within walking distance of the centre and about 10 minutes walk to the sea and its own reserved section of the beach. There are plenty of sunbeds available and a snack bar and toilets. The public areas are very clean comfortable and attractive. The rooms vary in size but are also spotlessly clean and, I would think, refurbished not that long ago. Mine was a little small for a double for single use though the bathroom was roomy. Good sized balcony. If the hotel is not full changing one's room is not a big deal. There is a reasonably sized swimming pool at the rear but sunbeds/deckchairs are few There is a good sized terrace at the front of the hotel however with seating. The restaurant is attractive and tables are set out traditionally and formally. I was with a touring party and so cannot comment too much on the food available for all courses for the independent traveller although the buffet was extremely good. Cold breakfast is varied but not much choice if one is looking for cooked food. Although very smartly attired unfortunately the restaurant staff were, I considered, rather brusque. I would consider the hotel a relaxing place to stay.
