I've stayed at Embassy Suites across the country over the last 20 years and the entire chain has only gotten worse over those years. The breakfast was always the main draw because it was so good, but now it's just like every other hotel chain. The rooms are dated with no smart tvs and the sofa was extremely uncomfortable.

The first room we were in had smell of sewer backup. After they moved us to another room we had 2 fulls instead of a king. That room had several electrical outlets that did not work.

Took the vacation with my family for a new years getaway and come to find out that the pool wasn't working. Reason why was for maintenance. When i booked the room it didn't say that online. But when i got there was a different story. My kids little vacation was ruined. Another issue i had was there was no curtain on the windows (white curtains on the back side of the black out curtains) . Just the black out curtain which they didn't close all the way either. On check in hours there were no supervisor on the premises to take the complaints or solve any issues. Was really disappointed.

My family and I along with a multitude of other families chose to stay at this hotel due to the fact that they advertised pool and jacuzzi. When we arrived they told us the pool hasn’t been accessible for quite some time.

I booked my room December 9, 2023. One of the main reason to book because it had a pool but when we got there the pool was out of service. The weather was rain all 4 days and we were depending on the pool for our kids source of fun.
Second bad experience was with house keeping. 2nd day came back in night and found that the room was not cleaned by house keeping. Called the front desk and was told that we have to ask for it but again never told that we gave to inform in one day advance and the funny thing is that the person who was talking to me could have said that, second last day in the morning before leaving out asked for housekeeping and then they informed that we have to tell them in one day advance. Very disappointed and unprofessional communication.

Beautiful hotel. The receptionist was pleasant and professional. The room spacious, clean and comfortable.
The hotel was just a 20 minute drive to Boston’s downtown pier.

As a whole our trip was good. But I want to point out two items. (1) Staff at the front desk informed us that The swimming pool is closed for a month due to maintenance, but it wasn't mentioned on the ******* site from where I booked it.
(2) I stayed for 2 nights, and while checking in, I requested housekeeping service after 1st day to clean the rooms and the staff confirmed. But when we came back to the hotel in the night after our first day, we found that the rooms were still not cleaned and there were no room service was provided.
As a whole, it was a good experience including a very good breakfast as well.
