The hotel was very clean & warm & cosy. Was greeted with a lovely lady that said if we needed anything have us an emergency no. Well stocked up on tea coffee hot chocolate water biscuits & crisps what more could you ask for. We have booked again for next year.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in a decent size room (many stairs and no lift, which I was aware of so no big deal for me, but might deter others). Location amazing, right on Church Street, walkable from train station, and a great cafe right across for breakfast. Had to wait for the pub to open to leave my luggage at arrival, but that was my fault for not confirming that information first. Would definitely stay there again.

Really nice place to stay, friendly staff with some great cask ales available, room was clean and tidy, same for bathroom. The bell tolls every hour but to be fair that added to the a**osphere of Whitby... Overall I would definitely recommend the Black Horse Inn if you are lucky enough to find availability.

Easily one of the oldest pubs in Whitby and lovely to stay there, right in the heart of beautiful Whitby. Bed was comfortable, sadly no pillow protectors so previous occupants sweat, yellow stains were very visible, which is off putting. Staff very helpful, lovely view from window.

Great place to stay very welcoming easy to get anywhere from the place. Rooms were nice & clean, bed really comfy A little noisy with being near shops other pubs & delivery trucks coming & going nevertheless I would stay again

Very convenient location, friendly staff and customers. Room quite adequate and reasonably priced. On the downside, the area is very old which means the street is narrow and there is no parking.

Had a lovely stay everything i needed, bed very comfortable, very clean , abundance of Tea ,coffee, bottled water .first where only the room , but no problem for places to eat that sevred breakfast ,would stay there again .
