We just spent 2 nights at the Stardust. The location is fantastic; 1 block from the boardwalk and within walking distance of some restaurants and bars. This place is a typical, older style Wildwood motel. As long as you know it's older and dated; you can move on. It is right next to the Riveria; both owned by the same folks. The check in was at the Riveria. The front desk clerk, Mike was very nice. There is a 20.00 key deposit; like I said; old school. The place had ample, but tight parking (very typical of some of the WIldwood places we've stayed) and overall, it felt like a safe, family place. Each motel has a pool, so you have 2 to choose from. They are small, but very clean with nice lounge chairs. All the folks we spoke to that were also staying there were very friendly. There are steps, so be sure to ask for a bottom floor room if steps are not your thing. Our room was right near the pool; next to the utility room. It was nice to see all the shower curtains, and bedspreads being laundered...I never know how often those get changed! A red haired woman was very kind asking if we needed more towels etc; but the 2 of us for 2 days did not. The room is typical; 2 queens, table, fridge with freezer and small microwave. The TV was nice and the Wi Fi was very good! The beds were firm and overall, it was a quiet night's sleep. If I had my way, the rooms would have more light and outlets, tissues and better toiletries. This place has an excellent location, very good pricing (No more Cape May as they're prices are ridiculous!), is clean and quiet and appears to be taken care of by people who care about the customer and repeat business. We will be back.
