Located at the front of the Wuhan expo center are the intercontinental and Holiday Inn hotels. A good location for a river view and relaxing weekend. I chose the intercontinental, as our experiences at the Shanghai Wonderland and Chongqing Raffles intercontinental had been fantastic. So I booked this for our anniversary with high expectations. The hotel is grand and the rooms are lovely. The lobby cafe where breakfast is served is huge with a venetian style interior and roof. The hotel restaurant serves Cantonese style food and is worth a visit. A few photos attached. The service at the restaurant was sub par, and the bill was wrong, which we got the pleasure of finding out when the restaurant began to ring our room repeatedly around 10pm to ask me to go back and pay 30Yuan extra. Which wasn't a problem, but after 4/5 calls late at night to be told I'd walked out without paying down the phone was disappointing when I paid the bill I had been presented with. On our a trip we were quite disappointed to find out on arrival that the swimming area was completely closed, as this would have been useful information before booking. Our trip to Wuhan was great, but the service at this intercontinental didn't live up to their colleagues and previous experiences.

The hotel is a bit far from the popular business district of Wuhan, it takes an hour to go where the subway is. It is best to drive. Hotel parking is free, you have to scan the code or register at the front desk every time. Talk about the lack of it, the hotel is not cheap, but the room may be too humid, actually grow mushrooms? The TV does not have Internet TV, the wireless network is really bad, and people will drop the line as soon as they are more than enough. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, which is really not understood. There is a small shower in the bathroom, but there is no big shower, and the bath is uncomfortable. The house on the balcony can't see any scenery. It depends on the scenery and the river view room.

The front desk was very welcoming. They poured me sour plum soup when I checked in. They also gave me a room upgrade for free. They also had Wuhan-style hot dry noodles for breakfast. I have stayed here several times. The floor is very high and relatively quiet. There is a shower room in the room. It's also very useful. It's only fifteen minutes by taxi from Yellow Crane Tower. Ice water was given when checking out. There is also a laundry room and gym on the third floor. I will stay here again next time.
