We stayed 5 nights here - visiting Wurtzburg for a wedding. I booked it originally because it had a pool ( a must have when travelling with an 11 year old!) The hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The receptionists were friendly and helpful at all times. All the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean. And the breakfasts were a delight - not just the range of food and helpful staff but the view of the castle and the sunny terrace. The pool was a decent size - changing rooms were very good…fresh flowers there a nice touch, My husband and I were delighted with this charming hotel. My son said his favourite part of our stay in wonderful Wurtzburg were ‘the breakfasts’ and ‘the pool’ !

First of all, since the name is changed from Novotel Hotel to Drink Hotel, I want you to change the name to trip.com immediately. Color 々 and the problem site trip.com is. Note that when you search in Novotel on Google Maps, you will be taken to different places. Maps me still has a formal place even if you search in Novotel. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the bus stop of the railway station and flixbus. The front desk and the room are all good. There is also a refrigerator in the room. Wifi is also fast and comfortable. The room is a bit narrow.

The hotel is in a good location. It is very close to the Bishop's Palace, the fortress and the old bridge, and it is furnished with a sense of history and artistic style. The room also has water and two bottles of wine, which is great! The only regret is that the hotel itself has its own parking lot, but because I ca n’t speak English well, I parked my car in a public parking lot, and I have to pay, if the hotel waiter can take it to the parking lot!

My wife and I were very much looking forward to our stay at the Schlosshotel Steinburg, as it came highly recommended by our friends who had stayed there previously. But our stay started off poorly from the check-in. The person at the front desk was absolutely rude and unhelpful. From the moment we walked up to the desk, there was no greeting. Just a ”yes?” I commented that the GPS had brought us through an interesting path and if that was correct. And she replied, ”well you are here so it must be.” And it just kept going. I told her that it was our first time there and ask if she could tell me a little about the property and she told me that there was a QR code in the room that has all the information. That was just the check-in. Throughout our stay, the hotel staff did not seem to want to be there or had any intentions of making our stay welcoming. Never an offer to help with bags or any assistance familiarizing us with the property. I inquired about their spa facilities and again was referred to the QR code in the room. Also, I thought it was odd that when I called the front desk for an iron, I was informed that they did not provide one but they would iron for me. I thought this was nice but upon check-out, there was an ironing charge. It was not an outrageous amount but either provide an iron, like most hotels, or inform the customer of the charge. It just further reinforced my opinion that I was troubling them. But the meal we had at the restaurant was very good and our server was very professional and his wine selections were perfect. Would I go back? Probably not.

Only stayed overnight. While a bit quirky like many old hotels, it has been well maintained and updated and was very clean,. The single room was of reasonable size with a small but well very appointed bathroom. Breakfast was generous and varied. Rather than abandon a breakfast buffet (like some other hotels) they have solved the problem by providing plastic gloves which guests must wear along with their masks when picking up food. The breakfast room itself is large, comfortable and I might add beautiful and elegant. Like some others I note that like many older hotels, it has very thin walls so that noise is an issue. They have attempted to lessen this with double glazing and two door entryways to each room. My only problem while staying there was that I could not get the in room nespresso to work but I am unsure whether the problem lay with the machine or with me.

The hotel is very convenient to travel across from the railway station. The front desk clerk is very enthusiastic, especially after we checked out, we took the luggage and prepared to leave. He took the initiative to help us carry the two boxes to the roadside downstairs. There were roughly a dozen steps at the entrance of the hotel without elevator luggage. Can only be carried by hand

We received a very hidden kindness. We heard at arrival k​​a ”Welcome to us warmly, you had a good arrival” or similar. Nothing. Name, please fill in the form, give the room card. We expected as a couple (and without prior request, whether we are so right) a double room with 2 separate beds (mattress feels hard medium/3). The quite small room had a wet cell with shower and toilet, and a clock refrigerator. No safe. The internet connection (free) something for patient. It is a bright house, unfortunately with unrespectful guests; the pitcher over us from the upper floor did not let us rest for the first time. The Putzwoman was probably at 7 a.m. in service and let every guest know this in all the early days of the day when working. Our room was so clean (.....bis on a few spinning fabrics above the hangs ...) Parking places are found on the street (Parkscheibe/1 hour) and are very limited at the hotel. A problem is probably when the hotel is fully exploited. The 3* hotel offers breakfast, no gastronomy or a drink machine in the EC. Vis-a-vis has a small Bistro-local. The reception is occupied (only) from 7:30 h to 22 h. When booking online via the hotel's website (not via eM), the hotel offers 5% discount. The guests are mainly assemblers and visitors/patients of the Uniklinik WÜ. With regard to the lack of friendliness in the accommodation, note: The guest (paying) is good and the hotelier does not hurt.

unprofessionell. Wir waren mit Kleinkind (inklusive Kinderwagen) in einem der letzten Zimmer im 2. Stock untergebracht. Das Hotel ist nicht barrierefrei und der Aufzug sehr klein und langsam. Es dauerte also teilweise eine ganze Zeit, bis man in den Aufzug einsteigen konnte. Das Zimmer war dann mit Babybett und Kinderwagen sehr beengt. Außerdem war es in der Sommerhitze extrem stickig. Das Treppenhauslicht vom Nachbarhaus schien die ganze Nacht in das Zimmer. Somit musste man die Schotten dicht machen, was auch kein Lüftchen mehr durch lies. Das Zimmer und auch das Bad könnten eine Renovierung vertragen. Im Bad lagen leider noch einige Haare vom Vorgänger. Es gibt Seife und Duschgel sowie Handtücher. Die Gänge sind extrem klein und eng. Wir hätten uns gewunschen, dass wenn es schon angekündigt wird das ein Kleinkind dabei ist, dass dann auch der Weg zum Zimmer mit Kinderwagen ohne Großes rangieren machbar ist. Der Service am Empfang war ok. Der Herr rauchte bei unserer Ankunft erstmal eine und erklärte uns zwischen Tür und Angel die Parksituation. Das Frühstück ist durchschnittlich. Auch hier alles sehr eng und in die Jahre gekommen. Rührei gibt es auf Anfrage. Leider gab es nur Obst aus der Dose… Fazit: Für knapp 150€ die Nacht im DZ kann man bei sovielen Zimmern auch mal eine Renovierung investieren. Wir bezahlen das nächste mal lieber ein paar Euro mehr und fühlen uns dann wohler…

Well, one hostel had to be worst of my trip. I just wish it hadn't been quite SO bad. I could talk about their deceptive business practices. I could talk about the horrendous customer service. I could talk about the outrageous price. Instead I'll just say this. How on earth does a hostel only open their reception between 6pm and 8pm? You literally have two hours where you're allowed to check-in. Your train arrives at 4? Tough luck, gotta wait. Had a delay and arrived 8:30? Thanks for your money, but you ain't sleeping here. They don't even have a phone number in case any of their current guests have a problem. Lost your key or someone stole your wallet in the middle of the night? Good luck finding a bench to sleep on. They say it's because of covid, but covid exists in all of Europe. Are all the other hostels in Europe also closing at 8? Right, didn't think so. The reality is that this is because the manager is a cheapskate with zero regard for their guests.

The hotel is very central and you can reach the attractions well at foot. Parking is available in a public parking house around the corner with a small discount per day. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the rooms were only attractive at 15:00. There is no trailer and we were in rooms on the 2nd floor, which were unrenovated. The rooms were large and in the bathroom was made some time, but had the charm of the 1990s. Dito for the rooms for the rest of the family. Breakfast was ok, but there is a finished sauce/cheese or cheese plate to choose. Musli is very limited and there are only cooked eggs. For this the bread selection was good. All in all but only 3 stars for the price.

The hotel is super located. You are very fast in the city centre and at the residence. The room was extremely small for the price paid. Very small double bed, mattresses were older, no refrigerator, water cooker or other comforts in the room. No proper door to the bathroom. This is only separated by a glass door from the rest of the room. The ”door” is not close - no noise or vision protection. The whole building and the hall to the rooms have come in the years. The lady at the reception was not particularly prevalent, have received telephone calls during check-in, not greeted at the visitor and go and was very overburdened so no information was given to business. As said, the location is optimal. For the price I would never visit the hotel again.

Not very far to the HBF and the city centre, but the view of our room went to a highway and an unattractive residence/market area. There were also not the wine mountains in the distance. Rooms OK, but windows could not open. We were stayed here during a bike tour and would not recommend this inpersonal hotel for a longer stay (we were there two nights). If already chain with acceptable prices, then Motel One.

We reached the hotel about 2H before the check in time, which is not unusual for us. Sometimes, we are offered a room immediately on arrival, or are informed that OUR room would ready by such & such time. Nothing of this sort happened at Motel One Wurzburg. The first impression that we got was that we were at a Homeless Shelter & not a modern chain Hotel where we had a confirmed Booking. The receptionist (Eduardo) kept on repeating that we do not have any room, we do not have any room. NEVER did he once said that YOUR room is not ready at this moment, but it would be by 3 pm. Even when I came back for Checking in at 3pm he was in no hurry to allot me a Room. I had never felt so INSECURE in an Hotel before. I did not even knew that whether I will ever get a room or not. The hotel has a beautifully designed lobby & lounge, and it is situated at a very central location. It could have been THE Hotel to stay in Wurzburg because of its excellent pricing, but the apparent arrogance & complete lack of empathy towards the guests makes it the most undesirable place to stay in Europe.

We reached the hotel about 2H before the check in time, which is not unusual for us. Sometimes, we are offered a room immediately on arrival, or are informed that OUR room would ready by such & such time. Nothing of this sort happened at Motel One Wurzburg. The first impression that we got was that we were at a Homeless Shelter & not a modern chain Hotel where we had a confirmed Booking. The receptionist (Eduardo) kept on repeating that we do not have any room, we do not have any room. NEVER did he once said that YOUR room is not ready at this moment, but it would be by 3 pm. Even when I came back for Checking in at 3pm he was in no hurry to allot me a Room. I had never felt so INSECURE in an Hotel before. I did not even knew that whether I will ever get a room or not. The hotel has a beautifully designed lobby & lounge, and it is situated at a very central location. It could have been THE Hotel to stay in Wurzburg because of its excellent pricing, but the apparent arrogance & complete lack of empathy towards the guests makes it the most undesirable place to stay in Europe.

The hotel is super located. You are very fast in the city centre and at the residence. The room was extremely small for the price paid. Very small double bed, mattresses were older, no refrigerator, water cooker or other comforts in the room. No proper door to the bathroom. This is only separated by a glass door from the rest of the room. The ”door” is not close - no noise or vision protection. The whole building and the hall to the rooms have come in the years. The lady at the reception was not particularly prevalent, have received telephone calls during check-in, not greeted at the visitor and go and was very overburdened so no information was given to business. As said, the location is optimal. For the price I would never visit the hotel again.

The hotel is in a good location. It is very close to the Bishop's Palace, the fortress and the old bridge, and it is furnished with a sense of history and artistic style. The room also has water and two bottles of wine, which is great! The only regret is that the hotel itself has its own parking lot, but because I ca n’t speak English well, I parked my car in a public parking lot, and I have to pay, if the hotel waiter can take it to the parking lot!

Spacious room, impeccably clean, free mineral water in the room, central location but on a quiet side street, friendly staff, I was extremely impressed. The only thing that really could do with improving is the breakfast: for a cost of EUR 8.50 it could be better than boiled eggs, bread and second-rate vegetables.

Rather than abandon a breakfast buffet (like some other hotels) they have solved the problem by providing plastic gloves which guests must wear along with their masks when picking up food. The breakfast room itself is large, comfortable and I might add beautiful and elegant. Like some others I note that like many older hotels, it has very thin walls so that noise is an issue. They have attempted to lessen this with double glazing and two door entryways to each room. My only problem while staying there was that I could not get the in room nespresso to work but I am unsure whether the problem lay with the machine or with me.

The hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The receptionists were friendly and helpful at all times. All the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean. And the breakfasts were a delight - not just the range of food and helpful staff but the view of the castle and the sunny terrace. The pool was a decent size - changing rooms were very good…fresh flowers there a nice touch, My husband and I were delighted with this charming hotel. My son said his favourite part of our stay in wonderful Wurtzburg were ‘the breakfasts’ and ‘the pool’ !

The location is a bit far from the old city center and train station, but it was nice to be clean and friendly. The rooms are also spacious. There is also Lidl right next door. Although the hotel is standard Samsung, it is enough for four-star standard. Except that the bath water is a bit cold, there is no obvious disadvantage. 850 meters from the train station, walking. The whole city is not big, and the Wiltsburg Palace and Marinberg Fort are within walking distance.
