I booked this hotel last minute and was provided a high floor room with a view. Great location and service. However, the room itself is outdated. The beds were still spring beds and not very comfortable. For a 5 star hotel, i expected more but to be honest, I compared it to some other options and this one was great value for the price in Xiamen.

At first I was very impressed upon arrival, nice view with stylish design. However the nightmare was coming in the evening, my room temperature showed 28 degrees. I reported to front desk and they said some customers reported cold, hence they switched off the air conditioning and turned on the heater. We were sweating the whole night….2nd night almost same although no heater but air conditioning still switched off only fan was working…..I complained again on the 3rd day cause my room temperature showed 30 degrees and at the end air conditioning kept remaining and we could have a good sleep finally. I travelled a lot and never facing such situation at any hotel before. I was very surprised about such arrangements as the weather was not that cold during my stay.

Excellent location with wonderful views of Gulangyu Island. Check-in was extremely slow - with a queue developing, despite it being past midnight - they also required a large deposit (double the room rate!) which we felt was excessive. Breakfast was so-so, quite a lot of choice but generally not particularly good quality - was bored of the selection by the third morning. Lots of parking which was very convenient. To be aware, there are no USB ports in the room and cannot borrow a charging block, so be sure to bring/buy your own. In-room dining menu had a wide selection and good quality. Rooms were clean and well-kept. We were brought a small gift for Christmas, which was very kind. Overall, the location and views make up for any minor ******* - would highly recommend for a city break in Xiamen.

Super five-star praise. When I came to Gulangyu Island, I wanted to experience a different hotel, so I chose Lin's Mansion. It was perfect! The butler has a pick-up service at the port, otherwise it would be too tiring to drag the luggage. The hotel was renovated from Lin's old house. It is in the style of the Republic of China, low-key and luxurious. The balcony faces the garden, which reminds me of many romantic dramas of the Republic of China. And only hotel guests can enter here. It is relatively quiet and not as noisy as other places in Gulangyu Island. The service is also very good. I felt there were many mosquitoes at night, so the front desk immediately brought toilet water and an electric mosquito swatter. By the way, there is also a free cheongsam photo-taking service here. The cheongsam is a free set. It is very clean and will be sent to dry cleaning after every customer uses it. The style is also beautiful. It's a pity that I only stayed for one day. I will stay here next time I come to Gulangyu Island.

Great location near the central Xiamen island, within walking distance from Yundang lake. Taxi from the airport takes less than 30 minutes (50 yuan). Metro Line 1 to Xiamen North Railway Station is also close. The lobby is on the 7th floor, which can be a little confusing because you need to go there on your own first. The staff doesn't speak English very well, but enough to manage. They were very polite and courteous. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious, over 40 sqm. A toilet brush was missing (in my room). The city view is nice since all rooms are above the lobby (floor 7). Breakfast was good, mainly Chinese, with some other options, though the eggs were very salty so I couldn't enjoy them.

Before I checked in, I knew Qishang Hotel. I saw that Qishang House was newly opened on Gulangyu Island. It was the same group Qishang and placed an order. It was very comfortable and suitable for vacation. The hotel is next to Gulangyu Ecological Park. The environment is naturally avoiding the world. It is a good place to avoid the crowds on Gulangyu Island. I like the corridor of the hotel very much. I can have breakfast while basking in the sun. It is also very suitable for reading a book in a daze. Children also like to stroll in the yard of the corridor. I haven't been to Gulangyu for a long time. I like to walk the island at night. At night, the kittens are out of the street. The children are super happy to chase. During the stay, the housekeeper Winnie went to the pier to pick us up and send us to the hotel. Fruits, pineapple and children's toothbrushes were also prepared in the room. Another housekeeper, Roger, also helped prepare the baby's tableware when he served us lunch, which was quite intimate and thoughtful. Will come back for vacation, recommended!

I took my child to a nearby eye center for an examination and booked this hotel for one night. The location is good, the price is not cheap, and the facilities are not good. The sofa in the room was dirty, basic things were missing, there was no soap for washing things, and there was no hand sanitizer. Location is near zhongshan road and subway. The room is a little bit old. the shower is dirty, the bathtub is rusty, the toilet cover has pee stain and the air conditioner for cold wasn't working but the heater was. it was quite hot for us so we turned the AC for cold temp but already reached 10 degrees and still like a fan. nothing to expect high on their breakfast though the overall service was good.

Hotel is clean and location is great as it's stone throw away from zhongshan road, siming road and many eating places. Also walkable distance to MRT and the jetty to UNESCO Gulangyu. At the ground floor of the hotel is a travel agency with friendly and helpful staff where you can book trips with. Look for them to places such at the UNESCO Tulou.
