Meitei No Yado Hotel Koshien

The private open-air bath, bedrock bath, and sauna are included in the basic fee, and I think the facilities are excellent. However, the customer service was very disappointing, perhaps because the staff were not properly trained. There were errors and missed information checks, a lack of attention to detail, and a lack of understanding of the system. It's very disappointing. There were so many poor aspects that I felt embarrassed to even tell the staff there directly. I'm considering it for next time, but I hope they will make improvements.

A historic hot spring hotel The antique furnishings and many exquisite decorations show that it once was glorious. However, perhaps it has not been renovated, so some facilities are starting to feel old. Exquisite local cuisine belongs to Japanese tradition, but the taste is salty However, it is very convenient to walk to the surrounding restaurants to eat.

I stayed at Misaka, and both the room interior and the bath in the room were wonderful. The only thing that was disappointing was the open-air bath in the large communal bath. It was lukewarm, and there were a lot of things floating in it, so it didn't feel very clean. The breakfast was filling and delicious. I'd like to stay here again.

After checking in, I asked the woman at the front desk if I wanted water, but she told me to buy it from a vending machine outside the premises as there were no vending machines or shops. (This was the first time I was told there was no water in a hotel.) I went to a convenience store in the distance and bought some water, but since there wasn't a cup in the room, I got a paper cup from the lobby and went back to my room. Afterwards, in the lobby, a woman who appeared to be the landlady told other guests that there were so many paper cups just a while ago, but someone just took them all away, and now there aren't that many.What is the use of having so many paper cups? "I guess so," he said in a mocking tone. As expected, I couldn't keep quiet, so I asked for a glass to drink water from, and explained that it wasn't a sloppy drink, but that it was about 4 cups for the two of us. The extremely rude landlady goes out of her way to talk bad about a guest to another guest in the lobby without considering the possibility that she might be nearby (and treated her like a paper cup thief). This is the first time I've had such an unpleasant experience.

It rained on the day of our stay so we couldn't go to the courtyard, but I heard that the waterfall is lit up and there are shakuhachi performances on the weekend evenings, so next time I'd like to stay in a different room.

It's summer so it can't be helped that there are bugs, but there was a large dead bug behind the electricity in the room from the beginning, and every time I looked up, I could see the bugs and it was disgusting.

Even though I arrived on time, there was no one at the front desk to greet me, and even after I kept calling, they didn't even say sorry. When I spoke, my voice was low and I couldn't understand the explanations, so I couldn't do anything inside the facility other than strolling through the garden. However, I am very satisfied with the food.
