Hotel staff are friendly, the hotel and room was clean.
The complimentary breakfast was good with bottomless coffee.
My room was clean but the shower ******, and the plate glass shower doors were jammed and very difficult to move, also lacked an air vent.
The room didn’t have any air conditioning and the thermostat on the wall didn’t control anything!??

Room was clean and so was restaurant and washrooms. Breakfast was good. Bed was worn and sunken and carpets are lifting in room and hallways. Toilet handle sticks and runs continuous. Was very hot in room and AC not working. One elevator not working and other one making noise. Hotel is getting run down and our room and hotel smells like oilpatch workers.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. The room layout was quirky and if definitely felt a littke outdated. It was in a good location though abd a good value.

The property was pretty worn down (carpet in the hallway, dark paint). The lighting in the bathroom was very very dark. Rooms were on the small side. Lamp switches were VERY high lol. Only 1 elevator worked and was very very slow. The way the stairs worked in the building was very confusing, and I am not too sure if it's up to code.
I did like the double curtain for the window (blind and curtain) & the fact you could open the window. It was nice having a breakfast - but also very plain. All though, it'd be better to have it continental to be honest. There'd be more options for guests, likely faster as well to get guests in and out. Plus having servers serve tables for a complimentary breakfast would be a crappy job to be honest. You'd hardly make any, if at all, tips.
It was lovely to have water bottles in the fridge in the room.

The hotel did not want to honour the rate provided by *******. Their explanation was that special rates are provided in US funds not Canadian.
I did get the rate in the correct currency in the end by providing info on the booking in the ******* app which showed it in CDN funds.
This was on top of a lengthy check in process where they had no record of the booking through *******.
Hotel was definitely not as advertised online. Small, dark rooms. Chipped walls and torn carpet. Dirty dishes in the hallway.
I would not stay here again.

Terrible strong chemicals!!!Unfortunately won’t be staying here again. I have stayed multiple times in the past and always have been satisfied, rooms are nice. Bathrooms great. This time however was met with the most noxious overpowering air freshener or cleaning chemical smell upon entering my room, so strong I immediately got a sore throat started coughing and developed a headache that lasted for a few hours. I went down and asked for a new room which they gave me, went inside and exactly the same. I had to leave I checked out told them I could not stay there. Was told they changed cleaning chemicals recently. If you have chemical sensitivities you will react to these rooms!!! Surprised they would use such a cheap obviously hazardous cleaning product. Had coworkers the next day also staying there say it was overpowering had to open the window and crank the A/C. Very bad experience this time unfortunately I liked staying there it was really good until now.

I always stay at the Podollan. Friendly staff and clean place. They did miss cleaning my room one day, but were quick to bring me the towels I needed.

The heat in the room wouldn’t turn off and the window wouldn’t open so it was like an oven all night
