I’ve never had a bad stay at a Kempinski hotel and this one was no exception. Beautifully appointed room, friendly and professional service, a delicious breakfast etc. If I was to really critique I would say I was surprised to find partly melted ice in the room’s ice bucket and also that I do personally like to have a mirror in the shower cubicle for when I shave. This is being incredibly picky though and neither of these things affected my stay in the slightest.

After 18 o'clock, you can take a taxi directly to the hotel entrance. Before 18 o'clock, there is a shuttle bus near the Alfalfa Street subway station every hour (confirm this with the hotel). I originally thought it was an old-school hotel suitable for veteran cadres to rest, but in fact the decoration style of the rooms and public areas is quite modern, comfortable and generous. Let’s talk about the breakfast. There are many types and all aspects are taken care of. The taste still needs to be improved. Of course, this is a matter of opinion and everyone’s experience is different. Comfortable, sizeable room located close to old town and near the conference I was attending. Staff was efficient and kind (although needed a little help checking in passport-holding guests). To be fair, I believe the room came with a warning, but there is absolutely NO soundproofing and we could easily hear neighbors and people in the hallway, so bring earplugs if you need silence to sleep. Beds are on the harder side (normal for China). Breakfast is standard Chinese, which I personally enjoy, but others may not.

I want to write a review seriously Coming to Nanjing was originally a quick trip, but the hotel I booked in Xinjiekou for the first night really left me speechless. The bed was high on one side and low on the other, and the toilet smelled so bad that I got up at two in the morning. I really couldn't stand it. I decided to temporarily switch to this hotel. I am still grateful for this wise decision. Location: At the entrance of Jiuhuashan Park, fully covered by subways and buses. The only drawback is that there are few delicious food around. Service: This is what I am most satisfied with. Because I have children, the store prepared an extra set of dental kits and quilts. They also tried their best to meet our requirements. They also had a great attitude and made us feel at home. Facilities: The indoor facilities are all well-known household brands, bathroom ware from Wrigley and TOTO, heating cups from Zojirushi, TVs from Sharp...the cleaning is also very timely. Meal: Breakfast surprised me. It is very cost-effective. Wontons, burritos, duck blood vermicelli, salted duck, fried rice, juice, fresh fruits...nothing was too bad. Summary: All the talented people have arrived, and the young and old have gathered together. The famous line in the ”Preface to the Lanting Collection” is the source of the name of the hotel. Very satisfied, I want to say thank you.
